In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this assessment underpins the entire REDD+ effort — without it, emission reductions cannot be claimed, verified or sold.
How we measure
A four-part assessment approach
Stratify
Divide forests into ecological strata for accurate, efficient sampling.
Measure
Record trees and all carbon pools in permanent sample plots.
Model
Apply validated allometric equations and quantify uncertainty.
Scale
Extend plot results across the province with remote sensing.
